The College of Veterinary Medicine provides exceptional resources, including board certified clinicians, faculty, technical staff, and superb facilities in all specialty areas of veterinary medicine. 

We have expertise in study design, statistics, data management, quality assurance, and timely delivery of results.  Additionally, we are compliant with Good Clinical Practices and 21CRF11 inventory monitoring. All of our studies involving client owned animals are required to obtain approval from either the Cornell University Veterinary Clinical Studies Committee (CUVCSC) or the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), depending on the nature of the study. This ensures the safety and well-being of our patients and owners.

What are the possibilities to develop partnerships?

The possibilities are unlimited. There are a multitude of funding mechanisms to support partnerships. Examples include: scholarships and fellowships, programs or research Support, clinical trials, collaborative research grants, sponsored seminar series, in-kind or matching gift, or Material Transfer Agreements. We welcome the opportunity to talk with you about your needs and the College's expertise in these areas.

Do you have sample agreements to share?

Please know that agreements are tailored to meet the needs of the industrial sponsor and Cornell researchers. The University's Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for negotiating agreements with potential sponsors. Cornell also offers a non-disclosure agreement template to initiate and protect confidential and proprietary information.

What is your indirect cost rate?

The indirect cost rate depends of the agreement in place for the clinical trial and all rates must be approved by the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education. Please contact us for more information regarding the indirect cost rate for your clinical trial.

Do you have Good Clinical and Laboratory Practices in place?

Good Clinical and Laboratory Practices are in place in the College of Veterinary Medicine. We support the scientific quality standard for designing, conducting, monitoring, recording, analyzing and reporting clinical studies in conducting clinical and laboratory studies.

Are all studies IACUC approved?

All clinical studies are either approved by the University's IACUC committee or the Cornell University Veterinary Clinical Studies Committee.
