College launches strategic plan 2023-2027
The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) debuted its latest strategic plan, setting priorities for 2023-2027, following the previous plan which outlined goals for previous five-year span from 2018-2022.
Titled "Leading and Inspiring Change for a Healthier World," the plan represents the collective vision and dedication of the CVM community, which Lorin D. Warnick, D.V.M., Ph.D.'94, Austin O. Hooey Dean of Veterinary Medicine, presented to the college at the State of the College address on Nov 20. "I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to its development," Warnick said.
The new plan outlines seven priority areas, which are:
- Building a Community-Minded Culture
- Fostering One Health and Sustainability
- Transforming Workforce, Careers and Education
- Catalyzing Research Breakthroughs
- Advancing Clinical and Diagnostic Excellence
- Applying New Technology
- Renewing Facilities and Infrastructure
For this next strategic plan, the college's mission remains the same: to improve the health and well-being of animals and people.
