Katie Del Rosso, LVT
Katie is a graduate from the State University of New York at Geneseo. In 2010, she earned degrees in both Biology and Psychology. After graduating, she worked a variety of animal-related jobs, including working on a dairy farm, grooming dogs, and being an animal care attendant at the Cornell Large Animal Hospital. It was during her time at Cornell that she discovered her love of veterinary medicine and decided to return to school to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology.
She received her Veterinary Technician license in 2018 and has since worked at several different private and corporate general practice hospitals before finding her true home in shelter medicine. For the past three and a half years, she has been an LVT at the Tompkins County SPCA, where she has worked closely with the Maddie's® team on projects such as the Trap Neuter Tompkins (TNT) initiative. Katie loves working in surgery, especially in high-quality high-volume spay and neuter (HQHVSN), and also enjoys veterinary inventory management.
When she's not working, Katie can be found training for aerial arts at Circus Culture, experimenting in her craft room, or spending time with her three cats (Zelda, Zim, and Zed), her foster-fail dog (Arnold), and her snake (Sully).
Welcome Katie!
