Apply: Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice in Quality Milk Production Services
The Department of Population Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the professor of practice track to join our team at Quality Milk Production Services at our Western Regional Laboratory in Warsaw, New York.
Individuals with a DVM, PhD or equivalent, as well as advanced training, research interests, capacity and performance in udder health, mastitis management and milk quality are encouraged to apply. Other desirable qualities of the successful candidate include strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a diverse collaborative research, clinical and teaching environment.
The successful candidate is expected to work closely with dairy clients, milk inspectors, veterinarians and other dairy industry stakeholders in western New York, keeping them abreast of new research and programs focused on milk quality, as well as diagnostic and management protocols. Establishment of extension, education and applied independent and collaborative research activities or initiatives in milk quality and udder health are also expected. Excellent opportunities exist for investigative collaborations within the College of Veterinary Medicine and with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
