CVM hosts the 2024 Cornell Immunology Symposium

The 2024 Cornell Immunology Symposium was held at the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) from June 3-5. It was organized by Dr. Melody Zeng, assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine, and Dr. Mandy McGeachy, associate professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.

Keynote speaker Donna Farber
The first keynote speaker, sponsored by the Jill Roberts Institute for Research in IBD, was Dr. Donna Farber from Columbia University. Farber is the George H. Humphreys, II Professor of Surgical Sciences (in Surgery), chief of the Division of Surgical Sciences, professor of microbiology and immunology, and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Keynote speaker Greg Delgoffe
The second keynote speaker, sponsored by Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medicine, was Dr. Greg M. Delgoffe from University of Pittsburgh. Delgoffe is associate director in the Graduate Program in Microbiology and Immunology (PMI), associate professor in the Department of Immunology, director of the Tumor Microenvironment Center, member of the Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy Program, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, and a PMI graduate faculty member.
