In this special edition of the Cornell Reproductive Sciences Center Seminar Series, two trainees from CoRe member's labs will be sharing their work with the reproductive science community. Alexis Dziubek, a Graduate Student in the Grimson lab, will present her talk, "Genomic variants in 3'UTR alter infertility-related post-transcriptional regulation", followed by Dr. Meihong Shi, a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Duan lab, with her talk, "Transcriptomic difference of in vitro produced male and female early embryos in bovine." Please join Pete Coppolillo, Ph.D., Executive Director of Working Dogs for Conservation (WD4C), for an interactive conversation about dogs detecting diseases in humans and wildlife. Pete will discuss WD4C’s current and past health work (e.g., projects on Ebolavirus, brucellosis, chronic wasting disease, SARS-CoV-2, and Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae) and lessons learned, and will share some thoughts on developing robust approaches to future disease work. This will be an interactive conversation that will hopefully lead to new research questions and collaborations.
