Research Interest

Dr. Guarino’s research interests include various aspect of clinical microbiology, from improving organism identification methodologies, to understanding antimicrobial resistance trends. Dr. Guarino also has a keen interest in the development of novel serologic assays for the diagnosis of infection with viral and bacterial pathogens in companion and production animals.
