Project Amount: $10,000
Project Period: December 2024 to December 2025

DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant):

Climate change is the leading health threat of the 21st century (WHO, 2023). The climate crisis raises challenges of how to adapt medical and public health training, strengthen health systems, and develop strategies and policies to address rapid environmental change and climate risk on human health. This project will build on the Cornell and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo) partnership while cultivating a focus on planetary, environmental, and one health. This project will assess KCMUCo student and faculty knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to climate change health impacts with the goal of catalyzing planetary and climate change health education, action, and resiliency with KCMUCo.
