Title: Management Systems to Improve the Economic and Environmental Sustainability of Dairy Enterprises
Project Amount: $59,984
Project Period: October 2024 to September 2026

DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant):

Like humans, some cows develop excessive inflammation after birthing which leads to reduced welfare and a higher risk of developing postpartum disease. Unfortunately, this state of excessive inflammation is difficult to diagnose. We aim to develop a non-invasive method to diagnose inflammation using continuous senor data that record composition of milk and how much a cow chews and walks.
