Title: Exploring the Complexities of Embryo Aneuploidy: Genetic Insights into Reproductive Challenges
Project Amount: $10,000
Project Period: October 2024 to September 2025

DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant):

Our proposal aims to identify genetic variants associated with early pregnancy loss by investigating chromosomal abnormalities in embryos. We will investigate this from the perspective of centromeres, an essential chromosomal locus responsible for accurate chromosome segregation. This research is crucial for developing intervention strategies to prevent pre-implantation pregnancy loss in humans and animals. It aligns with both SSR's mission and vision of overcoming reproductive challenges through scientific inquiry to enhance fertility and developmental outcomes.
