Research Interest

My research focus is the epidemiology of Salmonella infections and antimicrobial resistance of enteric bacteria of importance in domestic animals and humans. I taught herd health, population medicine and health economics in pre-clinical courses. I was active in Cornell University’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and participated in research related to SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic testing and the occurrence of COVID-19 on the campus.  I currently serve as Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.
