Creating a diverse, engaged and continuously learning environment
Over the last year, we have strengthened our community of faculty, students and staff through programs dedicated to wellbeing, diversity and professional development. Such activities include our first annual wellbeing fair, a wellbeing survey and the launch of our monthly community wellbeing speaker series. We continue to offer regular diversity dialogue speakers, monthly meetings on inclusive topics, and multiple faculty and staff development workshops.

Wellbeing Program
- First student and employee wellbeing survey conducted in spring 2018, will repeat every two years
- First annual community wellbeing fair
- Monthly wellbeing eNewsletters
- Paw Walk: One-mile route marked with paw stickers through the college for wellness walks
- Wellbeing program director to provide non-clinical counseling and resource referral, and provide strategic, evidence-based programming through a wellbeing strategic plan
- Monthly Community Wellbeing Speaker Series focusing on universal wellbeing concerns
- Wellbeing skills and concepts integrated into Professional Skills (Block 7) curriculum, discussed at student and trainee orientation, daylong resident retreats in collaboration with clinical faculty
- Wellness resource collection established at the Flower-Sprecher Veterinary Library
- Bus Pass Program provides bus passes for students to check out that increase access to Cornell Health appointments
