“People often have this idea that scientists are bland, and they just want facts. And, to some extent, obviously we traffic in facts--we don't want to just be loosey goosey. But at the end of the day, how we … communicate those facts, it still needs to be assembled as part of a compelling story. Because human beings love stories, that's what we remember.”

This quote comes from Dr. Praveen Sethupathy ’03, professor of physiological genomics, chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, and the latest guest on the  Cornell Veterinary Podcast.

Together with host Michelle Moyal, D.V.M. ’07, Sethupathy discusses the wonders of our own genomes, the challenges of leadership, the importance of building dialogues between different groups of people--and much more.
