On Friday, August 23, the 23rd Annual Biomedical & Biological Sciences Program held its annual symposium on the theme "Innovation - Breaking boundaries in science." The events welcomed students and guest speakers to network, present and learn.

The Douglas D. McGregor Research Lecture served as the keynote address for the symposium on Friday September 6. The talk, entitled "Breaking Boundaries in Science," was presented by Dr. George Yancopoulos.

The Douglas D. McGregor Research Lecture is named for Dr. Douglas McGregor, who served as director of the Baker Institute from 1976-1991, and subsequently served as associate dean for research and graduate education at CVM for ten years.
