A bird's eye view

BuntingDr. Elizabeth Bunting, wildlife veterinarian with the Animal Health Diagnostic Center, is a member of a multi-person, multi-agency team that was called in to assess the situation of a red-tailed hawk nesting on a window ledge in New York City. Named Violet, the hawk appears to have a swollen right foot. After assessing the situation, the team recommended that Violet be watched through a webcam that was placed by The New York Times.
