Dr. Ducharme is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He is also the James Law Professor of Surgery, the section chief of Large Animal Surgery, and the medical director for equine and Nemo Farm Animal Hospitals.





fDr. Jon Cheetham

Jon Cheetham is an Equine Surgeon and has worked in the Equine Performance Testing Clinic since 2004.  He is interested in all aspects of sports medicine, especially upper airway surgery and the assessment of poor performance.

Jon qualified as a veterinarian in England in 1995 and worked in Thoroughbred and performance horse practice for seven years before coming to Cornell in 2003. He is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and holds a PhD in equine respiratory physiology and surgery.




LisaLisa Mitchell, LVT

Ms. Mitchell is the senior veterinary technician responsible for horses preparation prior to the treadmill stress test. Ms. Mitchell also runs the exercise test, monitoring the horse's gait, speed and heart rate. Her role is the security and comfort of the equine patient during the test.
