The Community Practice Service at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals offers primary care to dogs and cats in the Ithaca area which includes regular examinations, parasite prevention, vaccinations, routine laboratory testing and spay and neuter surgeries. The service is run by fourth-year students and overseen by two faculty veterinarians.
Our students provide thorough veterinary care in a collaborative setting. If a serious medical problem arises with your pet, they consult with veterinarian in specialized fields to ensure our patients receive the most comprehensive care possible.
The Community Practice Service also cares for animals at local shelters by performing spay and neuter surgeries and providing routine medical care.
