Services provided for llamas and alpacas include: vaccination programs; parasite monitoring and control, including advice on meningeal worm prevention; foot trimming; dental care (trimming of fighting teeth and overgrown incisors); microchip placement; and new cria examinations including blood draw for registration, BVD testing or colostral absorption assurance. Certificates of veterinary inspection are provided when needed for interstate travel or show. Diagnosis and treatment of sick or injured camelids is provided, with referral to the Cornell Hospital for Animals when indicated.
