Tiva Hoshizaki is the Janet L. Swanson resident in shelter medicine. After graduating from Massey University, New Zealand in 2013, she completed an internship in shelter medicine at Cornell University. Apart from shelter medicine, her interests include parasitology, epidemiology and applied animal behavior. Dr. Hoshizaki is a self-taught developer who hopes to create new technology solutions for animal shelters which will improve efficiency and help save lives. She currently lives with one Border Collie, and a variable number of geriatric cats.
