July 12, 2012
For the tenth year in a row, the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society visited the Equine Park at Cornell University to inspect mares and foals from the breeding herd as well as several privately owned mares and foals. We were lucky in that it was a beautiful day and the inspection proceeded without any problems. Inspector Holly Simensen evaluated four mares and six foals and provided wonderful commentary. Congratulations to the following foals who received Premium awards at the inspection: Sirreal NHF (by Sir Gregory) owned by Margaret Neider and the following three foals bred by Cornell University: Benelli (by Benvolio), Jubilee (by Juventus), and Noah (by Nilena). Four mares were inspected and entered into the Main Mare Books: Falen (Feiner Stern/World Sun/Weltmeyer) leased by Margaret Neider, Gone Dancing owned by Darleen Callahan, and two mares owned by Dr. Sonya Lawlis: Larissa XXI (Corofino/Victoria II/Othello) and Matera (Maronjo/Gala Galatea/Goldschlaeger).
