Laser Microdissection Unit
Step 1: Training
To obtain training, please contact Robert Doran rmd37.
Step 2: Scheduling
After the initial training session, you will be granted access to the Laser Microdissection Unit calendar. Scheduling for the Laser Microdissection Unit is mandatory and can be done with Microsoft Exchange Calendar allowing you to check the 'agenda' of the system and make your own appointments. Please note that you must sign-up prior to the time you want to use the unit. If you are not on the calendar and another user has signed up for that time slot, you will be asked to get off the equipment. See scheduling instructions below:

Log-in with your Cornell netID and password.

Make an appointment by double-clicking above the day you need.

In the Subject box, type a description: should be your name, dept. name and either an email or phone number.

Enter start and end times carefully in the appropriate boxes.

Save and close. (You are permitted to make changes to your appointment by double clicking on your appointment, however, if you need to cancel, please e-mail dkt2@cornell.edu.)

Stop by T4018 VRT to pick up facility key if needed prior to your appointment. Note office hours please.*
*The Laser Microdissection Unit must be used during the hours of operation by the Dept. of Biomedical Sciences, which are Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00-4:00 p.m. Keys will not be available to employees outside the department.

| Users from outside the Department of Biomedical Sciences will be charged a training session fee of $150.00/training session (up to 2 hours), which may include up to 4 people from the same lab. After the initial training session, an hourly fee of $75.00/hr, with a one hour minimum, will be charged. |
