I grew up in Brighton on the south coast of England. Prior to starting my veterinary degree I spent a year working and traveling around Europe. In 2009 I started studying Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London.
My research interests are in reproduction, developmental biology and immunology. In 2011 I took a year out of my veterinary studies to complete a BSc in Reproduction and Development at Imperial College London. During this time I completed a research project investigating the role of paracrine growth factors in ovarian follicle development. This opportunity has driven my passion to pursue a career involving research.
Outside of veterinary medicine I enjoy theatre, music and art, and spend much of my free time taking advantage of all the theatres and museums London has to offer.
After finishing my veterinary degree, I hope to complete a PhD. I have an interest the concept of ‘one health’ and ways in which medical research can contribute to both animal and human medicine. In the future I hope to pursue my interest in research whilst still maintaining a practical, clinical aspect to my career.
