I am a first-year veterinary student at Cornell University. I grew up in Arkansas where I did my undergrad at Harding University. While studying humanities, I also enjoyed several semesters abroad in Italy, London, and West Africa. Since I loved travelling so much, I moved to Indonesia with my husband James and enjoyed many wonderful years teaching US history and drama at an international school. Then in 2010, I moved to New York City where I worked as a veterinary assistant and pursued pre-veterinary studies at Columbia. Since starting school at Cornell, I spent last summer working in the Cerione lab and this spring in the Lin lab.
My hobbies/interests include hiking, snorkeling, family history, and art. I am a member of Cornell’s very own Vet Players, which produces a play or musical each Spring.
My career interests are neuroscience research and feline medicine.
